UniQ aims to be the key to a brighter future for the people of Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire on many levels

It will result in a better quality of life and future prosperity for the local community, the student population, businesses and the city as a whole.

Communication and consultation with everyone affected at every stage are important elements to the UniQ development.

 

The UniQ partners are engaged in ensuring the local community has a voice at the highest level. The next meeting date is detailed in the media room (forthcoming events).  Regular newsletters are also planned to keep the local community - including residents, students, employees, businesses and community groups - fully informed.

Business consultation

For the business community UniQ has a significant impact on a number of levels:

  • improved education will produce a highly skilled workforce for the future
  • regeneration of the city and improved opportunities will encourage professionals to settle within the area - retaining our skilled workforce
  • improved facilities such as the Knowledge Hub will be a magnet for industry specialists and a centre of excellence for research and development
  • UniQ wants to work in partnership with businesses to provide continuing professional development for employees - meeting their needs.
